Lamentations (4:1–11) is engraved onto copper plates, placed beneath the feet as one walks through Hong Kong and Taiwan, creating traces that reveal the hidden. The copper plates are then cut, folded, and reassembled to form a new path bearing the text, symbolizing freedom along a predetermined route and the scars of the city.
By integrating augmented reality (AR), the copper path is projected onto actual streets and transformed into a walking route. The process is documented in a video that records the ritualistic walk, merging the virtual copper road with the real scene. The senses of the body become the foundation of lived experience.
